Filtermist to showcase clean air capabilities at Exposure Control and Containment Conference

Filtermist UK’s dedicated LEV team will be taking part in an event organised by The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and the Occupational Hygiene Society of Ireland (OHSI) this week to showcase the company’s capabilities in LEV Testing, Air Monitoring, and Air Filtration and Extraction Systems.

Taking place at the Crowne Plaza in Liverpool, Exposure Control and Containment II will cover specification, design, installation, testing, maintenance and operation of engineering control measures to minimise health risks in the workplace.

Established in 1969, Filtermist offers a wide range of products and services designed to protect people from risks associated with hazardous airborne contaminants.

Sales Engineer Jamie Allen comments, “Filtermist is well recognised in the manufacturing industry for the compact oil mist filters it manufactures, but the company also offers a number of other products and services to ensure workshop air is clean and employers adhere to CoSHH regulations.”

Filtermist has almost 50 years’ industry experience and has recently extended its offering from standalone oil mist filters for machine tools, to centralised extraction systems designed to remove oil mist, smoke, dust and fume from workplace air.

The Telford based company, part of the Swedish Absolent Group, offers a full service; from initial site surveys and recommendations, system design, and equipment supply, to installation, commissioning and extensive after-sales support. Central systems customers include the Jaguar Land Rover Engine Manufacturing Centre and precision repetition engineering specialist Wealdpark

Filtermist’s team of SPA and P601 qualified engineers offer routine service contracts and CoSHH complaint LEV Testing for all makes and models of LEV system throughout the UK. The mobile team is backed up by an in-house service administration team and P602 qualified design and technical engineers.

“Offering services that ensure systems continue to operate effectively after installation is common sense,” explains Managing Director James Stansfield. “We are onsite servicing all types of air filtration units for customers around the country every day so it is logical for us to include LEV Testing and Air Monitoring in our service offering.

“Our ethos is to protect people by ensuring cleaner, safer, more productive workshops so we don’t just want to ‘fit and forget’ filtration systems – we want to be confident that our customers are protected from harmful airborne contaminants all of the time.”

All of Filtermist’s LEV Engineers are individual BOHS members and the company holds affiliate membership.

Filtermist is accredited by SafeContractor for the high standards of health and safety practiced throughout the company and works with many of the world’s leading manufacturers in sectors including aerospace, automotive and medical devices.
