Safecontractor accreditation secured

Filtermist is pleased to announce that it has secured SafeContractor accreditation for the high standards of health and safety practiced throughout the company.

First established in 1969, Filtermist has always recognised the importance of protecting its employees and customers by ensuring all activities are undertaken safely, as HR and Administration Manager, Ian Reece, explains, “As a manufacturer of products designed to help protect machine operators and other workers from hazardous airborne oil mist, health and safety is a key priority for Filtermist.

“Our policies are designed to ensure that all risks to our employees and customers are identified and procedures are in place to minimise the chances of anyone coming to any harm whilst working with or for Filtermist.”

Safecontractor accreditation is valued by a wide range of organisations including leading UK aerospace and automotive manufacturers.

“We operate a team of engineers who are out in the field every day, both installing and servicing Filtermist oil mist filters, and providing LEV testing and air monitoring services throughout the UK,” continues Ian. “Safecontractor accreditation is official recognition that Filtermist meets the stringent demands of customers who recognise the importance of working with suppliers that take health and safety seriously.”

Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website.

John Kinge, Technical Director of Safecontractor said, “Safecontractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
