New deal strengthens Filtermist’s Service and LEV Testing proposition

Telford based air filtration and extraction specialist, Filtermist International, is delighted to announce that it has signed a deal with Plasteel Services Limited in a move designed to further strengthen its service offering.

Jamie Allen, Plasteel’s Managing Director, will now deliver LEV Testing and a range of other services through Filtermist, whilst the company’s founder Arthur Moss has taken the opportunity to retire.

Filtermist Director of Sales, Stuart Plimmer, comments, “Filtermist is extremely well-known in the manufacturing industry right across the UK. We are confident that combining Filtermist’s resources with Plasteel’s expertise will offer all of our customers a number of benefits.”

Established in 1969, Filtermist manufactures a range of compact oil mist filters used to effectively remove oil mist and fume generated in a wide range of manufacturing processes. Its units are sold in more than 60 countries worldwide and it is the market leader in the UK.

The company also offers an extensive after-sales support service in the UK which is highly valued by customers. A dedicated Service division delivers both planned and responsive maintenance for all makes and models of air filtration and extraction equipment, and provides LEV Testing for all types of Local Exhaust Ventilation systems.

Stuart continues, “Filtermist’s service division was established to ensure we offer customers the best possible all-round service and offering LEV Testing is an extension to this. We ensure customers comply with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations which specify most LEV systems should be tested every 14 months.

“The Plasteel deal provides us with additional resource and expertise which will enable us to offer this service to more customers throughout the UK. Filtermist units are trusted to remove oil mist by many of the world’s leading multi-national manufacturers and we aim to build the same reputation for our ancillary services.”

Filtermist is widely known for its oil mist filters which are used in standalone and cell-based manufacturing applications, but the company also offers a comprehensive Centralised Extraction Systems service designed to remove oil mist, dust, fume and smoke from industrial workshops.

Jamie says, “LEV Testing by a competent person and the provision of compliant reports is vital for anyone that has an LEV system. Filtermist is accredited by SafeContractor and provides COSHH compliant testing for all types of LEV system – no matter what make or model.”
