Digital service reports streamline process for Erlson Precision

Strong and trusted partnerships are critical for any type of business, especially when it concerns the customer; it is therefore imperative for companies to continually work to create a positive customer experience through the introduction of new processes and initiatives.

The introduction of digital tablets last year within Filtermist’s Service department aimed to do this through streamlining its whole service process in order to make it quicker and easier for customers to receive their service reports. The digital tablets have been received positively across the whole country as the following testimony from one of Filtermist’s long-standing service customers demonstrates.

Erlson Precision has worked with Filtermist for more than twenty years and has benefitted from the efficient new process. Tracey Phillips, Erlson Precision Maintenance Administrator, works closely with Filtermist’s experienced service engineers during the company’s monthly service visits and has noticed significant improvements since the introduction of the new digital tablets. She comments, “The tablets have been great in providing us with instant service reports that are easy to understand.”

With over ninety extraction units on site, Erlson Precision is acutely aware of the difference that continual servicing makes to its large manufacturing facility. With such a high quantity of units in operation, the digital tablets ensure that a unit isn’t missed from the service report by feeding all data back to Filtermist’s CRM system. This means that anytime a detail is amended it automatically loads to the tablet ensuring data is saved and remains up-to-date resulting in less opportunity for errors.

Erlson Precision is aware that servicing is vital in order to comply with compulsory COSHH legislation in the workplace. Stuart Plimmer, Filtermist Director of Sales, comments, “Despite what some manufacturers may claim, all filtration equipment requires regular inspection and maintenance. Our Filtermist engineers, with years of experience in the field, can provide servicing for all types of extraction equipment including oil mist, dust, smoke and fume making it the ideal one source solution to ensuring your extraction is safe, legal and efficent."

The digital tablets have allowed Filtermist to provide even further flexibility compared to its previous paper based system, allowing Erlson Precision to store the information on computer and making them easier to read than previous handwritten reports. Tracey Phillips, continues, “The digital service reports are very customer friendly as they are considerably easier for us to store, easier to read and also easy to refer back to when needed.”

The introduction of the new technology reflects Filtermist’s commitment to continually improving its environmental footprint through reducing wastage in its processes and procedures.

Filtermist is COSHH compliant, CHAS certified, SPA qualified and can provide LEV testing and air monitoring to ensure companies comply with compulsory legislation and employees work in a safe and clean environment.
