Filtermist secures ‘Approved Exporter’ status

Filtermist International is proud to announce that it now holds Approved Exporter status granted by HM Revenue & Customs, enabling far simpler trading with South Korea.

The European Union (EU)-South Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) came into force in late 2011 with the objective of providing substantial benefits for UK exporters, suggesting that 98% of import duties and other trade barriers will be removed between the EU and South Korea. To benefit from this, companies need to apply for Approved Exporter Status.

Filtermist's International Distributor Manager, Alison Green, says “As Filtermist continues to develop its global brand, one of our aims is to break down barriers to international trade and promote stronger links with our developing partners in new countries, our most recent focus being South Korea.”

Filtermist International exports more than 90% of production overseas, supported by a network of 35 international sales partners. September alone will see Filtermist represented at trade shows world-wide including IMTS in Chicago, KOFAS in Seoul, South Korea, IMT in the Czech Republic and AMB in Stuttgart, Germany.

Green continues, “Securing Approved Exporter status will not only also enhance trade with South Korea and existing partners such as Turkey, Switzerland and Israel, but will also prepare the ground for target markets in our future development programme that will benefit from this newly attained status.”
