Filtermist unit still going strong after thirty years!

Filtermist knows that if properly maintained our units can last a long, long time, but even we were shocked when we received a call earlier this week asking for spares for an old F18 unit dating back to the 1970’s!

The Filtermist in question has been successfully extracting diesel fuel fumes at a UK manufacturing plant for more than 35 years. Ian Reece, Filtermist’s Sales Office Manager says, “We’re used to receiving requests for parts for models that are no longer in production, but this is the oldest Filtermist working unit that I’ve come across since I joined the company.”

Filtermist Technical Support, Greg Chadwick who handled the customer’s enquiry, said, “Apparently the unit is working perfectly well and the customer just wanted a spares kit to give it a well needed service. Filtermist first started production in 1969, so this has to be one of the oldest examples of a unit still in operation.”

Managing Director, James Stansfield, says, “This unit is as old as me and still going strong - an incredible feat in the disposable age we now live in!”
