Tom Skubula from MTD CNC recently spoke to William Randall, Director at Norwich precision manufacturer Infinity CNC, about why they chose to invest in Filtermist oil mist filters. 

“We’ve got a young team, and we want to look after them,” said William. “When you open the machine, you can get quite a bit of steam (mist) sometimes, but with the Filtermist units you don’t get any at all.”

Established in 2022, Infinity offers a range of machining services and uses CNC machines including mills, sliding head lathes and routers. The team has extraction on all of its machines, including the router.

When Tom asked if Infinity had been visited by the HSE, William replied, “We haven’t had them in yet, but I think when they do come in, they’ll see that we’ve got things in place.”

“To finish off, they’ve been a good investment for the air quality, cleaning up’s a lot easier – they’ve been a worthy investment?” asked Tom. “Yes,” said William, “100%.”
