Look who’s checked back in!

Filtermist’s dedicated dust and fume division has received a significant boost thanks to the recent return of two ex-Dustcheck employees. Dave Clarkson and John Osman have both come back to Filtermist following previous stints at Dustcheck prior to the company’s acquisition by Filtermist in 2017.

Technical Sales Support Lead Dave spent two years at Dustcheck between 2013 and 2015, whilst Technical Applications Engineer John worked at Dustcheck from 2015 to 2019. Having both worked in the dust extraction industry for many years, Dave and John are extremely well respected amongst both peers and customers alike.

Filtermist’s Commercial Director Jo Morris commented, “Filtermist first started working in dust extraction with the acquisitions of MultiFan Systems back in 2016, Dustcheck the following year, Dust Control Solutions in 2018, and then the DCS Group in 2019.

“We have spent the past few years growing our dedicated dust division to almost the same revenue target as oil mist. This has been no mean feat given Filtermist has been the UK’s market leader for oil mist extraction for more than 50 years.

“The fact that both Dave and John have come back to us is testimony to the belief they have in our business. Both new recruits bring a wealth of technical knowledge to the table meaning our customers in a range of production environments can be more confident than ever that they’re investing in dust control systems which are suitable for their specific requirements.”

Dave began his career in dust extraction in 1980, whilst John completed a HNC in Production Engineering in 1982 before starting his career in Project and Technical Sales roles.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer our customers access to the combined experience that Dave and John possess between them, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for our dust division,” concludes Jo.
