Our Dust Service Engineers put Filtermist in the top spot for stability, pay and professional development opportunities.

COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2002 state that all employers that use LEV systems ‘must maintain the LEV in efficient working order so it continues to provide the necessary protection.’ Regular servicing from Filtermist’s experienced engineers means any issues can be identified and resolved in between routine LEV Tests which are a legal requirement of COSHH.
This makes our Service Engineers an integral part of the Filtermist Team, so we like to make sure that we offer stability, the best working conditions, great perks and an opportunity for career progression to ensure job satisfaction.
We’ve spoken to some of our engineers to find out why working for Filtermist is great for them:
“I have over 35 years’ experience as an LEV engineer specialising in dust. Filtermist’s approach to scheduling site visits is on a regional basis meaning, more often than not, I’m on ‘my patch’ so can keep traveling to a minimum and overnight stays are reduced. I also have the autonomy to decide if an overnight stay is needed if visits are a little further afield, meaning I can choose whether to stay over or travel home.
“Filtermist invests in ongoing health and safety training including P courses and I have recently completed confined space training.
“Filtermist provides me with everything I need to do my job well including a fantastic technical support team at the end of the phone. Most of all, I have the security of working for an established business, giving me the peace of mind knowing my job is safe and the bills will get paid.” Carl Wagstaff – Dust Service Engineer
“I have worked for various LEV businesses, and I think Filtermist is a great employer. It’s an established, fast-growing business and with that comes all the perks you get with working for a larger organisation – including good pay. I’ve been supported by my manager with professional development opportunities that have helped me plan my goals and work my way up to a Team Leader position. The whole team are supportive and work well together – I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.” Scott Harber - LEV Team Lead, Dust Service
“I started my career as a fitter, worked my way up to become a qualified service engineer and then joined Filtermist two years ago. With a great rate of pay, my birthday day off as an extra holiday and a van and all the tools for the job, I’ve always felt valued. I have a passion for dust products and at Filtermist I’ve felt fully supported to develop and grow in my career, and I’m now an Area Sales Manager in the Dust and Fume Team. Sales isn’t for everyone, but at Filtermist you can explore the path you want to take and know that the team is behind you to get you where you want to be.” Mark Gornall-Moss - Area Sales Manager (Dust & Fume)
