Filtermist scores Great Place to Work certification for a second time

Telford based LEV extraction systems provider, Filtermist Limited, has secured Great Place to Work certification for the second year running following a re-scoring survey earlier this year.

As part of Absolent Air Care Group, all Filtermist employees are asked to complete an annual survey which acts as a temperature check on how happy they are with their employer. In order to qualify for Great Place to Work Certification, employers must achieve a score of 65% or more in the Trust Index which is based on the Trust Model ©. Filtermist scored a fabulous 79% in the overall Trust Index meaning it is officially certified as a Great Place to Work.

The Trust Model © measures employee responses in five key areas:

  1. Respect
  2. Credibility
  3. Fairness
  4. Camaraderie
  5. Pride

There is also an opportunity for employees to add free text comments outlining what they think makes Filtermist a Great Place to Work and giving suggestions for potential improvements that could be made.

Jo Morris, Filtermist’s Corporate Services Director, elaborates, “We received some really lovely feedback on why our employees feel Filtermist is a great place to work. A significant proportion of the comments included reference to the help and support they receive from the wider team – both colleagues and managers.

“This is something we have worked really hard on achieving – we aim to recruit the best people and ensure they have the skills and support needed to succeed. This ethos runs throughout all departments, at all levels across the business. We try and promote from within wherever possible and lots of people commented on the training opportunities that are available for those that want to progress their careers.

“Hybrid working was also mentioned by a few respondents – this is obviously role dependant, but our employees really value the work/life balance that splitting time between working from home and spending time in the office offers.

“As a business we have very ambitious targets, and we try and communicate what this means to every individual very clearly so everyone understands their objectives and the contribution they make to the bigger picture - this clarity plays a very important part in overall morale.

“We are delighted with this year’s results and will be looking closely at the suggestions for further improvements so we can make sure this positive trend continues.”

Filtermist’s Executive Management Team took the opportunity to celebrate the GPTW score and thank all employees for their continued efforts by hosting a barbecue in the grounds of the company’s Telford HQ on Wednesday. Jo Morris, CEO James Stansfield, and CFO Martyn Hasell, donned aprons, chef’s hats and food safe gloves to cook up a storm for approximately 90 staff.
