Filtermist has created a brand-new role to make best use of the skills of one of its most promising employees.

Marc Saunders has been promoted to ‘Continuous Improvement Engineer’ as part of the Operations Department’s efforts to ensure it is working as efficiently as possible. Marc will be working closely with Absolent Air Care Group’s Head of Operational Excellence, Johan Wollin, to identify potential process improvements which could directly benefit both the business and Filtermist’s global customers.

Marc originally joined Filtermist’s Assembly Department in 2014 and his hard work and dedication have seen him progress through the company. Marc moved to the Manufacturing Department in 2015 where he learnt how to spot and tig weld, as well as programme a CNC machine and a robot welder.

He took part in the company’s first ‘Rising Stars’ programme in 2019 and quickly followed this up by completing a HNC in Manufacturing Technology in 2021. Marc played an instrumental role in ensuring the move of Kerstar industrial vacuum cleaners’ production from Northampton to Telford last year was a success.

This culminated with Marc being presented with the prestigious CEO Award at the end of 2021.
