Third Rising Stars cohort prepares for lift-off!

The latest prospective cohort of Filtermist’s ‘Rising Stars’ were put through their paces last week to ensure they have what it takes to successfully complete the six-month training programme.

The half-day assessment included an exercise designed to determine how the candidates work as part of a team, a debate, and an interview with Filtermist CEO, James Stansfield, Director of Group Shared Services, Jo Morris, and programme facilitator Phil Bradley from Inspire Me Training.

The Rising Stars initiative was originally launched in 2019 to help delegates build the skills needed to further their careers. The first two programmes consisted of candidates who had been nominated by their line managers, but this time around the programme has been opened up to all employees.

Jo Morris explains why, “The first two Rising Stars courses were incredibly successful and many of the employees that took part have since gone on to new roles or been promoted within their departments. We wanted to offer this opportunity to all employees that have the drive and determination to put themselves forward and take on this commitment in addition to their day jobs.

“The interactive programme is designed to teach a wide range of skills that will strengthen each individual and, by default, the wider teams that they work with. Each session is underpinned by our core competencies which drive how we do business.”

Eight employees will be taking part in the Rising Stars 2022 programme – we’ll report on their progress later in the year.
