Filtermist’s Divisional Sales Director (Oil Mist and Industrial Vacuums), Craig Woodward, recently welcomed MTD CNC to the company’s Telford headquarters to discuss the various Absolent Group technologies that can be used to effectively remove oil mist from workplace air. 

Craig began by explaining how Filtermist’s own brand of UK manufactured centrifugal oil mist filters work and then moved on to the electrostatic filters made by fellow Absolent Group company, Bristol T&G International GmbH. Finally, he showed interviewer Joe Reynolds how Absolent AB’s static filter media units work and why the integral HEPA filter means they are able to offer 99.95% filtration efficiency at 0.3 micron.

The main message throughout the short film was that Filtermist can provide an effective ‘Clean Air’ solution for every type of oil mist application - the Sales team specifies the most suitable solution for each individual customer. Factors can include the type of coolant being used, how long the application is running for, what the application is, what type of machine requires extraction, and also what the customer’s preference is. Some customers prefer stand-alone oil mist filters, whilst some want to connect into a central system that draws contaminated air from multiple pick up points.

Joe then questioned Craig about ongoing maintenance requirements and Craig took the opportunity to remind MTD’s viewers about the importance of regular LEV Testing – a legal requirement under COSHH regulations.

“We can provide the whole package (units, service, LEV testing) to our customers and become their Clean Air Partner,” concludes Craig.
