Severn Valley Railway 'Helping hands for Falling Sands' Donation

Filtermist is delighted to announce that it is one of the first businesses to support the Severn Valley railway ‘Helping hands for Falling Sands’ appeal.

Our donation of £100.00 will go towards the fundraising target of £275,000 to enable restoration of the 141-year-old structure Falling Sands Viaduct, which is in need of extensive repairs.

A donation wall is scheduled to be installed at the Engine House Visitor Centre, Highley in February 2019 where Filtermist’s name will be displayed alongside others who have kindly donated to the cause.

Filtermist has strong connections with Bridgnorth, which is home to one of six stations operated by the Severn Valley Railway. The company was established there in 1969 and remained in the town for 46 years before moving to its brand new global headquarters in Telford in 2015 due to a period of sustained growth and outgrowing its previous premises.

Filtermist is very proud of its heritage and continuing with the locomotive theme, the company is currently working alongside Bridgnorth Endowed School students who are painting the ‘Filtermist steams ahead’ statue as part of the Bridgnorth Arts Trail project ‘Catch Me Who Can’.

The statue is yet to be revealed so keep a look out!
