Oil mist filters manufacturer Filtermist proudly supports a range of individuals, charities and organisations who are connected to its employees.

The company’s UK Sales Manager, Matthew Pearson’s ten-year-old son Finlay Pearson is a swimmer for the under 11’s Burton Amateur Swimming Club (BASC) and is sponsored by Filtermist.

The club recently hosted its 5th swimming gala with one of the main aims being to raise money and awareness for Footprints Orphanage, a cause very close to all those at BASC.

BASC made great achievements and gained an impressive 36 places in first position, 19 in second position and 17 in third position. Overall BASC Team A achieved 1st place and Team B achieved 4th place. They celebrated their win with a team plunge and splash in the pool. BASC is on its 32nd gala win since 2014, a huge well done to all!

This was the first time Finlay has taken part in a gala event and he enjoyed it immensely. Matthew comments, “It was great to see so many local children taking part to raise funds for this worthwhile cause. Fin loves his swimming and the support the club receives from sponsors like Filtermist means they can take part in events further afield, as well as at home in Burton.”
