Lipscombe legs it round the lake for Myeloma UK

Clare Lipscombe, one of Filtermist’s Export Administrators, will be running the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon on September 10th to raise much-needed funds for Myeloma UK - a charity very close to her heart.

‘In July 2014, my world was turned upside down when my dear Mum was diagnosed with Myeloma – a rare and unforgiving cancer of the bone marrow. Unfortunately, as my family were later to learn, as yet there is no cure,’ says Clare.

‘Since then my Mum has fought tirelessly and so very bravely against this horrid disease which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

‘I hope to raise awareness of this type of cancer – there are only around 5000 people diagnosed in the UK each year, and my dream, of course, is that one day a cure can be found.’

Funds raised by Clare will help Myeloma UK to support people affected by Myeloma and to continue vital research into finding a cure for this disease.

Good luck Clare!
