Filtermist’s Managing Director, James Stansfield, is quoted in the 2013 Outlook Report in the December issue of International Metalworking News for Asia. Filtermist, currently exports its units to more than 50 countries worldwide through a network of 35 international distributors – more than 90% of Filtermist’s output is destined for export markets and Asia is a vital focus in the company’s sales strategy.
James Stansfield said, “Filtermist already enjoys a strong foothold in Singapore and Malaysia thanks to its Singapore based subsidiary, Filtermist Asia Pacific Pte Ltd - established in 2005. We employed a Business Development Manager in 2012 specifically to support marketing and sales efforts in the ASEAN region and will be focusing efforts in other key ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines over the coming months and years.”
Attendance at international trade shows plays a major part in raising the profile of the Filtermist brand throughout Asia - Filtermist units were on show at Metalex in Thailand in November and Manufacturing Indonesia earlier this month. Our units will also be exhibited at Intermold Korea 2013 in March, followed by MTA 2013 Singapore and CIMT 2013 in Beijing in April.
In other parts of Asia Filtermist has performed particularly well in 2012 – our Indian distributor, Span Filtermist India Pvt Ltd recently secured an order for over 100 units to be installed at a car manufacturer’s new production plant. Filtermist will be building on its success in India by attending IMTEX 2013, taking place in Bangalore in January.
Stansfield continues, “Filtermist units are used in metalworking applications in a number of manufacturing sectors – we are currently experiencing increased demand from the Aerospace & Automotive Engineering sectors and we expect this to continue throughout 2013. Activity next year will be focused on supporting growth in all market sectors throughout Asia and building on the success experienced in countries such as India, investing in high growth economies such as Indonesia whilst continuing to support and grow our established markets in China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea.”
