Filtermist Takes on the Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Race

On Sunday 19th July, the Filtermist team proudly took to the water to take part in the Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Race, joining businesses from across the region to raise money for an incredible local charity.

The event was a fantastic day, bringing together teamwork, determination and plenty of laughter, all in support of Severn Hospice and the vital care they provide to local people and their families.

In the weeks leading up to race day, colleagues across Filtermist Limited came together to help raise funds through a variety of activities organised by our Culture & Community team. From a charity bake sale to 'Guess the Name of the Teddy', 'Guess How Many Sweets Are in the Jar', and a charity raffle supported by generous prize donations from local businesses, there was something for everyone to get involved in.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our colleagues, customers, suppliers, friends, family and the wider community, we were thrilled to raise £2031 for Severn Hospice.

While the fundraising was a huge success, the Dragon Boat Race itself was equally memorable. Our team embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating fantastic teamwork both on and off the water. Whether competing in the races, cheering from the sidelines or supporting behind the scenes, everyone played a part in making the day such a success.

A special thank you goes to everyone who donated, purchased raffle tickets, entered our fundraising competitions, or supported us throughout our fundraising journey. Your generosity will help Severn Hospice continue providing exceptional care and support to local people and their loved ones.

We're also incredibly grateful to the members of our Culture & Community team, whose hard work and enthusiasm helped organise our fundraising activities and encouraged colleagues to get involved every step of the way.

Taking part in the Dragon Boat Race was about much more than crossing the finish line. It was an opportunity to come together as a team, support an important local charity, and make a positive difference within our community.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and look forward to supporting many more community and fundraising initiatives in the future.
