Filtermist successfully renews Avetta accreditation

Employing subcontractors that can be trusted to work safely is vital for manufacturers that need to ensure minimal downtime as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.

One way of checking that subcontractors can be relied on to work safely is to look for accreditations from third parties such as SafeContractor and Avetta. These organisations undertake independent audits and only give out their accreditations to companies that have proved they adhere to the highest standards of health and safety.

Filtermist has recently renewed its Avetta accreditation following the submission of up-to-date documentation to prove its ongoing commitment to health and safety.

Carl Johnson, Plant Operations Manager, at Filtermist, comments, “As a manufacturer ourselves, we understand how important it is that our customers have confidence that anybody representing Filtermist on site operates safely, consistently and within controlled processes.”

Filtermist employs a large team of mobile field engineers that deliver services including installation, maintenance and LEV Testing of local exhaust ventilation equipment used to remove oil mist, dust and fume from the air in industrial workplaces.

“We work with customers of all sizes across the UK and some of them require all of their contractors to have Avetta accreditation,” continues Carl. “This means that they don’t have to carry out their own due diligence on contractors from a safety perspective – the Avetta badge means this has been done for them.”

As well as Avetta, Filtermist also holds SafeContractor accreditation and is a member of industry trade associations including the MTA, BTMA, GTMA and SHAPA. Find out more about Filtermist, or contact us to arrange a visit from one of our engineers.
