Lots of businesses talk about company culture and how they are good places to work, but the best evidence of all is when employees are prepared to talk publicly about their employer.
This was the case recently when Filtermist’s marketing department was approached by Daria Warzocha - an employee who joined the business as a Service Account Manager back in September 2023 and wanted to share her experience of her first 12 months at Filtermist.
Daria found out she was expecting her first child the day after receiving her offer letter from Filtermist. She takes up the story, “As soon as I found out I was pregnant I contacted Filtermist to tell them. The company supported me right the way up until my maternity leave and then continued to keep in touch when I was out of the business to check I was ok.
“I returned to work on a part-time basis. I was allowed to work from home to help with the transition back to work. My manager and the Director that heads up my department could not have been more supportive. Being a new Mum is daunting at the best of times, so knowing I have that level of support from work has been amazing. It has shown me that women can have a career and be mothers at the same time – something I hadn’t really had to consider before I had my daughter.
“Filtermist has proved to me that they value their employees and would go above and beyond for them - you’re not just a ‘number’, you’re a part of a team.”
