Funds support charity football club

Filtermist Systems has sponsored a new kit for the men’s Balls to Cancer charity football team following a request for support from Service Account Manager Jamie Stewart.

Jamie plays in the football team which aims to fight cancer with fun. Established in 2011 the Balls to Cancer charity originally aimed to support men fighting cancer, but after it was contacted by many women, the charity now offers help to anyone with cancer - regardless of age or gender.

The charity offers information on all forms of cancer via its website and is on hand to offer support by listening and talking. Through the generosity of its supporters, Balls to Cancer is able to look at supporting sufferers financially - giving support with household bills, equipment, clothing, school uniforms and winter coats.

Thanks to its tireless fund-raising activities, Balls to Cancer owns two luxury holiday homes in Burnham-on-Sea where families can share a carefree holiday, without worry - for free.

Filtermist has a dedicated budget which is used to assist a range of individuals, charities and organisations which are connected to its employees throughout the year, as Lydia Barber, Director of Group Marketing explains: “It is lovely to be able to help out and support our local community. The work that Balls to Cancer does is particularly relevant for Filtermist as exposure to some types of airborne contaminant have been proven to cause various types of cancer. We wish the team well for the season ahead.”
