Filtermist Systems Limited is delighted to announce that Andy Berks has been appointed as the Northern Area Sales Manager for oil mist filters and industrial vacuums.
Andy joined Filtermist six years ago as a service engineer and then moved over to the installation team in 2019. He has completed his P601 and P604 qualifications since joining Filtermist and hopes to bring that knowledge and his experience from servicing and installing Filtermist and Absolent oil mist filters to his new role.
Andy said: “Having worked in both the service and install teams, I’m able to bring my experience to my new role. I have extensive product and applications knowledge which will benefit my customers when it comes to discussing their specific requirements.”
Andy’s move to the sales team means that Paul Battersby has now been promoted to Senior Area Sales Manager. As well as supporting Andy and the rest of the team, he will be focussing on helping to look after Filtermist’s OEM business.
Divisional Sales Director for Oil Mist and Industrial Vacuums, Craig Woodward, said: “Andy will really strengthen the sales team as his previous experience means he has a strong base knowledge on Filtermist and Absolent products.
“The increased awareness of the importance of effective oil mist extraction which has resulted from the HSE’s recent inspection programme focusing on control measures being used for metalworking fluids and welding fume means Andy’s really had to hit the ground running!
“Paul’s new role means we can continue to build on the service we offer to our OEMs; he has a wealth of experience and he’ll be using that to also support the rest of the sales team,” Craig added.
