Filtermist supports BOHS & ILEVE for the sixth joint ‘LEV – Extracting the Best Practices’ event

Filtermist is proud to be supporting BOHS (British Occupational Hygiene Society) and ILEVE (Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers) for the sixth annual ‘LEV – Extracting the Best Practices’ event on 29th April 2021.

The event, which will deliver insight and debate into the topics affecting LEV control and its role in the reduction of industrial disease, will be held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic.

The one-day event will be attended by Filtermist’s Divisional Sales Director (Aftermarket), Carl Latham.  Carl has more than 10 years’ experience in industrial extraction and holds P601, P602, P604 and W201 BOHS Qualifications. He is also a BOHS exam marker.

Carl comments, “This conference is very topical for Filtermist as our team of P601/02 qualified engineers work in this field every single day.  Filtermist provides nationwide routine and reactive maintenance, and thorough examination and testing (TExT) of all makes and model of LEV systems designed to effectively remove a wide range of airborne contaminants including oil mist, dust, fume, smoke and VOCs.  Our service is designed to give our customers the confidence that they are doing all they can to protect their workforce from hazardous airborne particles, and that they are operating in compliance with relevant HSE regulations.”

COSHH regulations require all LEV systems to be thoroughly examined and tested by a competent person at least once every 14 months – sometimes as frequently as once every month depending on the nature of the application.

Filtermist produces its comprehensive LEV Test Reports using a digital system, making it easy to retrieve the necessary documentation in the eventuality of a request from HSE.
