It’s been a busy and exciting few months at Filtermist, with a packed social calendar bringing colleagues together both inside and outside of work.
At Filtermist, we believe creating a positive workplace is about more than just the day-to-day job. It’s about building strong relationships, supporting wellbeing, giving back to the local community, and creating opportunities for colleagues to connect beyond the workplace.
Helping drive many of these activities is our Culture & Community team, who have been busy organising a variety of events focused on bringing people together, supporting employee wellbeing, and creating a positive and engaging workplace culture.
One of our recent highlights was our charity bake sale, where colleagues came together to raise money ahead of our participation in the upcoming Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Race on 19th July. The bake sale was a fantastic success and marked the beginning of our fundraising efforts as we work towards our £1,250 target in support of this incredible local charity.

Our team has also been enjoying regular Wrekin walks, giving colleagues the opportunity to get outdoors, stay active, and spend time together away from the workplace while enjoying the local scenery.

For those with a competitive side, our 5-a-side football sessions have become a great way for colleagues to unwind, have fun, and enjoy some friendly competition while staying active outside of work.

A recent highlight was our Family Fun Day on 13th June, where colleagues and their families came together for an afternoon of food, activities, and quality time together. The event was a fantastic opportunity to bring families into the wider Filtermist community and enjoy time together outside of the workplace.

Alongside all of this, excitement is building for the Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Race on 19th July, where the Filtermist team will be taking to the water in support of a fantastic cause while continuing our fundraising efforts and embracing plenty of team spirit along the way.
At Filtermist, we know that a strong workplace culture is built through connection, collaboration, wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to enjoy time together - and our Culture & Community team plays a huge part in making that happen.
It’s been a fantastic few months, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on these activities throughout the year ahead.
