Sales Manager Kevin Hood started his career as a Design Engineering apprentice and hasn’t looked back - he moved into the air pollution control industry in 1986 and has stayed there ever since!
Kevin, who holds P601 and P602 certificates, specialises in specifying dust extraction and fume extraction systems as well as VOC (volatile organic compounds) abatement solutions. He joined Filtermist in 2016 and works with customers in a wide range of industries ranging from aerospace and automotive, to paper, packaging and printing.
Correct design of all dust control systems is key. We provide customised systems depending on specific client requirements and will select which dust filter is used depending on the characteristics of the dust that needs extracting. If the substance is classified as explosive, such as flour, wood or aluminium dust, ATEX rated explosion relief panels should be incorporated into the design of the LEV system.
