As a long-standing supplier to Star Micronics GB, Filtermist was delighted to be one of five companies invited to mount a permanent display in Star’s new showroom.
Star GB moved to new purpose-built premises opposite Rolls Royce in Derby earlier this year. The new space includes a 2700 square feet showroom which houses a range of Star’s sliding head lathes and FMB barfeeds.
Filtermist’s Director of Sales, Stuart Plimmer, comments, “Filtermist has worked with Star in the UK for more than 20 years and we are proud to have established such a mutually beneficial partnership.
“The new showroom is a great space for Star to entertain customers and our display offers an opportunity for visitors to find out more about what Filtermist does in the UK.”
Filtermist is the UK distributor for sister company Absolent AB; in addition to its own oil mist filters, Filtermist also supplies, installs and commissions Absolent A.mist and A.smoke static media filtration units to ensure Star’s customers benefit from clean workshop air and remain CoSHH compliant.
Stuart continues, “We have worked with a number of Star’s customers to ensure their facilities are free from hazardous airborne oil mist particles. The first phase of an installation for St Helens based Wealdpark saw 12 Star sliding head lathes connected to a central extraction system that included an A.Smoke 20 and four A.mist units.
