Centralised Extraction Systems

Filtermist takes responsibility for the whole process

Specification

Filtermist undertakes an initial site visit to establish requirements and objectives. Considerations include:

  • What material needs extracting? Unusual products can be sent away for lab testing to verify the type of filter required
  • Is the contaminant wet or dry? Corrosive or passive? What volumes are involved? How much vacuum required?
  • What type of machine tools are used? Are there any open or partially enclosed machines?

Design

Filtermist provides a comprehensive system planning service which includes the design and supply of special ‘air capture’ equipment including air curtains, air knives, hoods and fish tails if required. Centralised systems can comply with the ATEX Workplace Directive if required.

A first draft proposal is submitted detailing:

  • Recommended extraction units
  • Costs
  • Electrical requirements
  • Noise management measures

When the proposal has been agreed, working drawings are prepared which include:

  • The number and location of extraction points
  • Recommended location of extraction unit/s
  • Ducting runs and sizes

Supply

As the UK distributor for sister company, Absolent AB, Filtermist supplies the full range of Absolent extraction equipment – offering premium air filtration that effectively removes oil mist, smoke, dust and fume from the air in industrial workshops. Filtermist also supplies all ancillary products including ducting, extraction arms and pressure gauges.
