Paints, foams and coatings routinely sprayed in a range of industries including manufacturing, joinery and vehicle repairs can result in very high exposure to isocyanates - the most common cause of occupational asthma in the UK according to the HSE.

For this reason controlling exposure to isocyanates is a legal requirement under COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). One of the HSE recommendations to help control exposure is to spray in an enclosed area using effective Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) which must be thoroughly examined and tested by a competent person at least once every 14 months. Filtermist has a team of dedicated, skilled engineers that provide routine and reactive maintenance, and LEV TExT (thorough examination and testing) services right across the UK.

Gallito's range, which includes dry filter spray booths and water wash booths, are all manufactured to the highest standards at our site in Wetherby. Dry filter booths are available in a range of standard sizes from 1500mm to 7000mm internal booth widths - other sizes can be manufactured on request. All booths are supplied with a fan, ductwork and filter media as standard.

The standard range of water wash booths start at 1500mm long with lengths up to 6000mm - other sizes can also be made if required. Water wash booths, which are commonly used in powder applications, are extremely efficient - capturing around 95% of airborne particles. All Gallito water wash booths are supplied with a 1m working depth, 2.25m working height, BDA fan, DOL fan starter, end suction close coupled centrifugal pump, and DOL pump starter as standard.
