Filtermist supports long-term partner Star GB at Open House

Filtermist will be offering technical support and assistance for its range of oil mist collectors at the annual Open House of global Machine Tool Manufacturer, Star GB, from 20th-22nd October 2015.

The Open House will provide the ideal opportunity for Filtermist to support its long term partner at Star’s headquarters in Melbourne, Derbyshire alongside other trusted supply partners.

Southern Area & Ireland Sales Manager, Matthew Pearson, will be present during the three day event to explain the significant benefits that having oil mist extraction in the workplace can bring to the workforce and the environment. Matthew comments, “Filtermist values the strong partnerships that it has built with Machine Tool Manufacturers, including Star GB, over many years.

“Working in partnership with Star to provide oil mist extraction as an integral part of its sliding head lathes is hugely advantageous for the customer as they can buy a complete package without the hassle of retrofitting equipment after purchase."

Customers and clients will have the opportunity to view a Filtermist ‘in action’ via a unique demonstration unit which imitates the extraction processes involved in removing oil mist. And as the sole UK distributor for sister company Absolent, Filtermist will also be showcasing a working Absolent A.Mist10S on a Star SR20RN Type B machine.

The event, held inside Star GB’s Tech-Centre, will showcase a variety of the company’s machines including the brand new Star SR-38 sliding lathe; the latest edition to its range of 38mm mill-turn machines and boasting balance turning capability together with a fully programmable B axis and 8-station independent rear platen. It will be the first time the brand new machine has been displayed in the UK following recent success at EMO 2015 in Milan.
