Filtermist introducing IE3 motors to FX series from 1st April

Filtermist has announced that from 1st April 2014 it will be using IE3 motors on its entire FX series of oil mist collection units.

Classed as Higher Efficiency Motors (HEM), IE3 motors contain more copper than standard motors and use less energy than predecessors, IE1 and IE2. As a forward thinking company, Filtermist has decided to introduce IE3 motors to demonstrate its commitment to both best practice and environmental responsibility.

Managing Director, James Stansfield, explains; “We sell our units in more than 60 countries worldwide – reducing energy consumption has been on the global agenda for a while now, for both environmental and cost saving reasons.

“We wanted to offer our customers around the world the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are doing everything in their power to reduce energy consumption, and lower overheads by default - a major consideration globally where power is becoming increasingly expensive.”

Filtermist has also taken the technical and environmental decision to lower the kW rating for the FX4002 and FX5002 models. Energy savings of up to 17.2% can be achieved by using IE3 motors combined with lowering the kW rating, depending on the size of the unit.

James Stansfield continues, “We are confident that our customers around the world will embrace the decision we have taken to introduce IE3 motors. Filtermist believes it is extremely important that manufacturers do everything in their power to make sure their products are as energy efficient as possible in order to reduce harmful environmental impacts and save their customers money.”
