UK based oil mist removal specialist, Filtermist, is delighted to announce the appointment of a dedicated distributor in Vietnam – SOS Environment Co. Ltd, located in Hanoi.
SOS Environment specialises in Environmental Pollution control and felt that the Filtermist units would be an excellent addition to its existing product range.
Filtermist International MD, James Stansfield, says, “Filtermist has traded in Asia for more than 25 years now. We recently restructured our business in the ASEAN region with the establishment of Filtermist Asia Pte Ltd and the appointment of Business Development Manager, Desmond Teo.
“One of Desmond’s first tasks was to identify potential distributors for our products throughout the region and we are extremely pleased that SOS Environment has been appointed as a result.”
James Stansfield presented the company’s Managing Director, Mr Pham Van Son, with an official ‘authorised Filtermist distributor’ certificate, accompanied by Desmond Teo during a recent trip to Asia where he also visited Japan, China and Indonesia.
Vietnam is one of twenty ‘high-growth markets’ identified by UK Trade and Industry (UKTI) as offering significant potential for UK businesses. In a recent report, UKTI Vietnam highlighted a number of priority sectors including Advanced Engineering, stating ‘Vietnam has the 3rd fastest growing aviation market in the world’.
Aerospace manufacturing is a market where Filtermist already has significant experience; the opportunities available, coupled with those in other high-growth manufacturing sectors, offer Filtermist an excellent chance to increase its market share in the ASEAN region.
