Bridgnorth based manufacturer, Filtermist, is delighted to have kitted out the Bridgnorth Town Juniors FC Under 11s (U11 BTJFC) team in time for the start of the new football season.

U11 BTJFC was started up by husband and wife coaching team, Phil and Jill Loveday and is now in its third season. Phil, who is also the Headteacher at Bridgnorth Endowed School, says, “The group of lads we started with two years ago had not played football apart from the odd kick around in the park and the playground so started with very little team game or personal skill level. They have worked hard with us and we have seen them make excellent progress so that when they have the opportunity they can play with confidence and style - we are very proud of what they have achieved in that time.”

With the players making such good progress and growing out of their first team strip, Phil and Jill wanted the team to benefit from a professional looking new kit – which is where Filtermist stepped in.

Filtermist’s Works Manager, Craig Bridgwater, introduced Filtermist as a potential sponsor when his own son started playing for the Under 11s team. As a local company which was established in Bridgnorth in 1969, Filtermist was delighted to offer its support and pledged £500 to purchase kit for the boys, as well as a few spare footballs for training sessions!

Filtermist Sales Manager, Stuart Plimmer, says, “Bridgnorth has been home to Filtermist for more than 40 years. We were looking to support local projects connected with the town by way of thanks to the wider local community and we were delighted to be able to sponsor the Under 11s team. We’re looking forward to receiving regular progress reports from Craig!”
