Brazil’s booming economy offers significant opportunities

Filtermist’s Brazilian distributor, Rollmatic, exhibited at FEIMAFE 2013 in São Paulo last week, with great success. FEIMAFE is the main Machine Tool exhibition in Latin America – over 1300 exhibitors took part in this year’s show which was attended by 70,000 visitors.

Rollmatic Sales Manager, Philip Kirschner, said, “The exhibition was really good for us – our stand was visited by representatives from a number of high profile OEMs that were really interested in Filtermist units. Some of the OEMs already use Filtermist units on machines manufactured in other countries and are now interested in using Filtermist on machines manufactured in Brazil and other Latin American countries.”

As one of the BRICS economies, and host of the next Olympic Games, Brazil’s economy is booming - creating a significant amount of opportunities for UK based companies. JCB recently opened a £63m manufacturing facility in São Paulo and there is ongoing speculation that Jaguar Land Rover may decide to open a factory in Brazil fuelled by growing demand for its luxury cars.

Filtermist International Managing Director, James Stansfield, says, “Brazil is a huge growth market for Filtermist – Rollmatic’s success at FEIMAFE and the sheer volume of visitors to the five day show is evidence of the pace of growth in Brazil’s manufacturing industry.”

Manufactured in Shropshire in the UK, Filtermist units are exported to more than 50 countries worldwide, including all of the other BRICS economies - Russia, India, China and South Africa, through a network of global distributors.
