Filtermist MD talks export with BBC Shropshire

Filtermist’s MD, James Stansfield, was interviewed by BBC Shropshire yesterday morning about the company’s experience of export trade and in particular, how the UKTI can support businesses in Shropshire to trade overseas.

Filtermist exports to over 50 countries through a network of international distributors. It works closely with the UKTI to identify potential reputable companies to help break into new territories. UKTI provided vital assistance in linking Filtermist up with its Russian distributor, SovPlym, and new Australian distributor, Benson Machines.

James Stansfield was interviewed following MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham, Daniel Kawczynski’s call for Shropshire businesses to contact him for help with exporting. Mr Kawczynski made a speech in the House of Commons yesterday about the performance of the UKTI, prompting BBC Shropshire to host a wider debate about how Shropshire businesses can benefit from exporting and the assistance offered by UKTI.
