Filtermist’s Indian distributor, Span Filtermist India PVT, will be attending the 16th Indian Metal Cutting Machine Tool exhibition, IMTEX 2013, in Bangalore at the end of the month where it will showcase a range of Filtermist products, including the new S Series.
Span Filtermist India PVT is also the sole distributor in India for Filtermist’s parent company, Swedish dust and fume extraction manufacturer, Absolent, and will also be exhibiting a range of Absolent products on its stand at IMTEX.
More than 900 companies from 24 countries will be exhibiting at the week long show taking place from the 24th-30th January at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. Span Filtermist’s MD, Mrs Shree Kelkar, says, “IMTEX 2013 offers an ideal opportunity to showcase both Filtermist and Absolent products to some of the industry’s leading metal-working companies. Show organisers are expecting visitors from a number of high-growth sectors including aerospace and automotive, both sectors where Filtermist units have a proven track record in removing oil mist at source during metalworking processes.”
Filtermist units are sold in over 50 countries worldwide through a network of more than 35 international distributors and India is one of Filtermist’s fastest growing markets. Sales of Filtermist and Absolent products in India have grown consistently in 2012 – boosted by a contract to supply over 100 units to a car manufacturer’s new production plant.

Span Filtermist India PVT was established in 1998 as a joint venture between Span Associates, and Filtermist International Ltd, then became a fully owned Indian company in 2011 following the purchase of the UK shareholding. Span also manufactures and markets its own range of dust extraction equipment.
