Filtermist launches Ultra at IMTS

Filtermist International’s US sales partner, Royal Products, launched the new Royal Filtermist ‘Ultra’ at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago last week. The Ultra has been developed in conjunction with Filtermist International and will be available to US customers from October followed by the rest of the world in 2013.

The Ultra is a portable oil mist extraction unit comprising a top-mounted Filtermist unit located on a compact, mobile cart with secure locking casters – eliminating the need for any additional stands or brackets. It also benefits from an integral cyclone that aids particle separation, greatly reducing maintenance requirements.

Royal Products Vice President of Marketing, Tom Sheridan, says, “Royal Products believes the Ultra has huge potential. Its mobility and size make installation simple – the unit will easily sit behind the chip conveyor on most machines. The Ultra is perfect for a wide range of applications including turning, milling, grinding and cast-iron machining – we’ve already had huge interest from OEM customers including DMG/Mori Seiki and Mazak who exhibited the Ultra on their stands at IMTS.”

As the largest manufacturing technology show in North America, IMTS, held at the McCormick Place complex in Chicago, was the ideal location to showcase the Ultra. Organisers expected more than 82,000 buyers and sellers from over 116 countries to attend IMTS 2012 which took place between 10-15 September.

Filtermist International Managing Director, James Stansfield, says, “The Ultra is one of a range of products Filtermist has been developing for its UK and export markets. Filtermist has more than 40 years’ experience in the manufacturing and distribution of oil mist extraction units and a key factor in our success is our understanding of global markets and our commitment to product development.”
