Filtermist reviews employment policies to offer more flexibility to the team

‘Great Place to Work’ certified employer Filtermist Limited has reviewed two of its employment policies to further enhance its team’s work-life balance.

From the 14th July to 9th September all eligible employees will be able to take advantage of Flexible Working. The short-term policy has been introduced to support many of Filtermist’s working parents and allow them the flexibility to arrange the times they attend work to fit with their family responsibilities over the school holidays.

Departmental Managers will work with staff to ensure adequate cover is available during the usual business hours, but the policy will provide all employees with the flexibility to help balance work and family life.

“This year’s school summer holidays are slightly longer than usual, and we know that childcare responsibilities can be a juggle. We want to support our team as best we can and having introduced remote and flexible working during the pandemic, we know the team are experienced in managing their time accordingly,” said Jo Morris, Director of Shared Services.

“Filtermist already operates a hybrid working model (a mix of office-based and remote working) for all eligible employees and during the summer holidays this will hopefully provide further support to those who want to take advantage of the policy change,” she added.

The Telford based manufacturer has also enhanced its Maternity and Paternity Leave policies.

Projects Engineer Rob Lunn is expecting his second child this month and said: “I was delighted to learn that Filtermist provides a very generous paternity leave package. This will make a HUGE difference to our family while I’m taking time off work to get to know our new addition!”
