Free Site Survey

The Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Manufacturing Sector Plan includes an inspection programme which will run from May to September, targeting fabricated metal businesses. Filtermist is offering manufacturers a FREE site survey to help identify areas where existing control measures may not be compliant with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.

Employers have a legal responsibility to protect employees from exposure to any substance considered hazardous to health. A hierarchy of controls should be used to identify the most effective control measures, but the HSE generally recommends using LEV on all CNC machine tools as the most effective way of controlling contaminated air at source.

Filtermist engineers can carry out internal and external inspections of all LEV equipment, checking for cracks, defects, and poor filtration. The team can also review processes and ensure equipment is operating within the HSE HSG258 parameters.
