Filtermist was delighted to welcome MTDCNC to its Telford HQ earlier this month to record a short interview with our Managing Director, James Stansfield. 

The MTD film crew were shown the traditional metal working skills used to manufacture all Filtermist oil mist filters, and the stringent tests and checks that each unit undergoes before being dispatched to one of over 60 countries worldwide.

James discussed a number of topics including the centralised extraction system that removes welding fume from 16 pick-up points around the Filtermist factory to ensure our operatives breathe clean air.

He also talked about how Filtermist’s acquisition by the Swedish owned Absolent Group in 2010 had allowed the company to diversify and offer an increased range of products and services. Filtermist is Absolent AB’s UK distributor and offers an all-encompassing service to effectively remove oil smoke, dust and fume from workshop air, as well as oil mist for which it is traditionally known.

The interview included details of the centralised extraction system installed by Filtermist at Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) – the largest installation of this nature by Filtermist to date. James also explained how Filtermist adds value for customers by offering a comprehensive after-sales service including routine maintenance and COSHH compliant LEV Testing.
