Filtertech goes full circle with acquisition by Filtermist

Leading oil mist filters specialist, Filtermist International Ltd, is delighted to announce that it has acquired Wolverhampton based Filtertech Ltd to further bolster its service offering to UK customers.

As well as manufacturing a range of World renowned oil mist filtration units at its purpose built premises in Telford, Filtermist also provides a comprehensive after-sales service which is highly valued by customers and a key factor in a number of recent successful tenders.

Filtermist Managing Director, James Stansfield, comments, “Filtermist is unique in the UK oil mist extraction market in that we offer a full turnkey package. In addition to manufacturing and marketing our products, we also provide a comprehensive specification, installation and commissioning service, as well as preventative maintenance packages and ancillary services including air monitoring and LEV testing.”

Filtertech and Filtermist have an extensive history of working together; Filtertech was founded by Mike Allport a former employee of Filtermist and specifying, installing and servicing Filtermist oil mist filters and other extraction equipment is Filtertech’s core business.

“Filtertech has carved a niche for itself in offering many of the same services as Filtermist, but as well as Filtermist units it also supplies, installs and services other makes and models of equipment designed to remove airborne hazards from industrial workplaces,” continues James. “Combining Filtermist’s resources with Filtertech’s expertise will offer all of our customers a number of benefits and will help us to meet the ambitious targets we have set for the business.”

Mike Allport and Filtertech Ltd engineer, Tom Fish, will join Filtermist’s dedicated Install and Service department to ensure a seamless transition for Filtertech customers. Mike says, “Filtermist has grown significantly since I established Filtertech and it has extremely exciting plans for the future. Tom and I are both looking forward to the opportunities this move will bring.”

Filtermist’s skilled engineers cover the whole of the UK and use the latest digital technologies to make life as easy as possible for customers. Reports are emailed directly to the customer as soon as a job is completed – minimising paperwork and making it easy to prove compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) legislation if required.

As the UK distributor for sister company Absolent AB, Filtermist provides accredited service and maintenance for all Absolent extraction units. The Filtertech Ltd acquisition means this service offering now also extends to all makes of extraction equipment including Losma, Smog Hog, Nederman and Cleanmist.
