Filtermist International will be introducing its latest product development to the UK market at Southern Manufacturing in Farnborough (13th/14th February).
Filtermist will be exhibiting on stand Q49 where it will be showcasing a new portable oil mist extraction system, the CSX, as well as its latest range of small centrifugal oil mist extractors – the ‘S’ Series. Filtermist will also be showing products from parent company, Absolent AB.
The CSX from Filtermist is a low level combined stand that includes an integral swarf separator, making it ideal for heavy duty applications such as wet grinding. The system draws the air containing the coolant and grinding dust into the low level stand, where it can be easily removed - the pre-filtered air then passes through the extraction unit as usual, increasing the efficiency of the operation.
Whilst ideally suited to grinding, the CSX has also been developed for use in a number of other operations including machining brass and aluminium, which often produce high quantities of small metal chips that can block less robust filter systems.
The new stand has been developed to enable ongoing servicing to be carried out at ground level – removing the need to use ladders, hoists or platforms to maintain the equipment. Routine servicing can be carried out without the need to comply with Health and Safety Working at Heights regulations.
Its compact footprint makes it ideal for manufacturing facilities where space is an issue and the integral separator in the CSX also increases the service intervals by removing large amounts of oil and debris before it enters the Filtermist unit.
The company’s latest innovation is designed to fit any of the current Filtermist FX units, from FX5002 to FX7002. Four lockable castors mean the system can be manoeuvred into position quickly and easily – eliminating the need for any additional stands or brackets.

Royal Products has already received some very encouraging feedback from CSX customers including some of their key machine tool manufacturers and distributors, and we’re excited to be launching our latest innovation to the UK and the rest of the world.”
As the exclusive Absolent distributor in the UK, Filtermist will also be presenting a range of its oil smoke filters specifically designed for the heavy smoke and fine mist produced by high pressure coolant systems, die casting and heat treatment applications. Absolent A.smoke oil smoke filters have been designed to guarantee more than 99.9% separation of particles down to 0.3µm - the separating efficiency remains constant and does not deteriorate over time. Absolent products are also offered with a filter life guarantee, giving customers peace of mind with low ongoing maintenance costs.
