Our congratulations go to Manuel Schippers, the Sales Manager for Filtermist products at our Netherlands distributor, Ecotax Filtertechniek, who took part in the 2009 Jungfrau Marathon on Saturday 5th September.

The race takes place over 42 kilometres on what is considered to be the "most beautiful marathon course in the World". It climbs by 1,800 metres to an altitude of 2,200 metres from Interlaken to Kleine Scheidegg. Runners from all over the World take part, including the 6-times World Mountain Running Champion, and this year’s overall winner, Jonathan Wyatt from New Zealand.

As a 'first-timer' to the run, Manuel finished the gruelling course in 490th place overall (out of 4,100 competitors) in a creditable 4 hours and 24 minutes and remarked that "It was an experience never to forget. The view, the landscape, the audience was all overwhelming".
